23andMe drops API support
Update 09/19/18
We have removed the 23andMe integration due to their API deprecation.
23andMe has announced that they will drop or change support for most API services. As a result, Human API will evaluate these changes and will likely deprecate its genetic endpoints. See below for a copy of 23andMe's communication to customers:
23andMe API announcement
We are writing to let you know about upcoming changes to the 23andMe API program. These changes may have a major impact on the functionality of apps you've built around the 23andMe API.
We're updating our API program to focus on apps that build on the interpretations and results we provide to our customers. As part of this transition, your API client will be disabled on September 6, 2018. Going forward we will work closely with select developers to build applications that use our customers' results in new and exciting ways. These applications will utilize data based on 23andMe reports, not raw genetic data; 23andMe will only provide access to raw genetic data to qualified research collaborators.
We know that some of you rely on these APIs to power your apps and we apologize for the disruptions these changes may cause. We'd like to thank you for your help in exploring the world of genetics-powered apps.
Sincerely,
The 23andMe API Team
